Samuel Douek is an award winning Film Director and Entrepreneur based in London.
Having trained as an Architect (Bartlett Part 1, RCA Part 2), he began his filmmaking career in 2017 in documentaries exploring LGBTQ+ subculturest, directing several mini-series for Grindr's content channel INTO such as the well-received PROLIFIC.
Since 2019 he works predominantly on Music Videos and Commercials for projects including Virgin Atlantic, Little Mix, David Guetta, Urban Outfitters, Anne-Marie, Absolute Vodka, Baby Queen, Bimini and Uber
He is currently in development for his first Feature Film which will begin production at the end of 2024.
He has won several awards including BEST NEW DIRECTOR at the Creative Circle Awards 2024, Best LGBTQ+ Documentary Short in 2019 at Palm Film Festival, and was one of the first British Fashion Council's New Wave Creatives.
Aside to filmmaking Samuel is a queer event creator and artist, having built the CAMPerVAN, a travelling performance art and community space, which has toured Europe and hosted events at galleries including Tate Modern.
In 2020 Samuel founded HOWL, a sex-positive lifestyle brand with CBD wellness products at its core. Its mission is to improve sex for all genders and sexualities and breakdown outdated taboos, which is now undergoing a Seed Round of Investment
Most recently, he has founded CAMP, a new production company with executive producer Francesca Woods representing under represented directors and photographers.
